You will get the Card jam, or card path blocked message when the sorting is held up for some reason.

Please be careful when you clear the card path when the cards have clashed so that you do not damage the gates (the flaps catching the cards).

You should study the Card Counter Maintenance instruction that you got in the brief manual if this type of message would be displayed without any apparent reason.
